Tina McCorkindale is an assistant professor in communication specializing in research and public relations at Appalachian State University in Boone, NC. Previously, she was an assistant professor at California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, and also taught several sessions at Ramkhamhaeng University in Bangkok, Thailand. She received her Ph.D. in communication from the University of Miami, her master’s degree in corporate communication from the University of South Alabama and her undergraduate degree in journalism from the University of Southern Mississippi. Dr. McCorkindale consults nonprofits and Fortune 50 companies, and serves on the board of the Educators Academy of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) and the International Public Relations Research Conference. Her research focuses on social media and measurement.
